Mr.
ShrinkWrap, a worldwide provider of on-site shrink wrapping services and
distributor of shrink wrap products, materials and supplies, have applied their
skills to many landmark buildings and historical artefacts over the years, from
the roofs of buildings to vintage steam locomotives. Recently, their custom
services were called for to carry out the installation of a temporary shrink
wrap cover to a historic structure damaged in a fire last November.
The Glen
Echo House, built in the late 1800’s, was once a beautifully maintained and
adored historical structure until the 4,500 sq. ft. building began to fall foul
to vandals. Quoted as receiving ‘substantial damage’ in the fire that engulfed
the second storey and roof, reportedly from an arson attack, the house required
urgent attention to protect any further damage from the elements.
With 23
years of knowledgeable experience applying their skills, Mr. ShrinkWrap took on
the job of creating a custom 1600 sq. ft. sheet of reinforced shrink film for
the purpose of covering the entire roof and preserving the damaged structure
from further exposure to the elements.
