Scare Factor Returns For 2014 As Scream Park Hunts For New Actors!
Scare Kingdom Scream Park is auditioning for actors to join their cast for this October!
[07/08/2014] On Saturday 9th August Scare Kingdom Scream Park in Lancashire is holding auditions for scare actors to take part in the attraction when it returns this October 4th. Scare Factor, the X Factor style audition process the scream park uses to cast actors, will put the hopefuls through their paces during a series of auditions, plucking talent from experienced actors to aspiring stars from various walks of life.
Jason Karl, Chief Creative Executive at AtmosFEAR! Entertainment, the group behind multi-award winning Scare Kingdom Scream Park said;
“Each year we strive to make the attraction even more terrifying - we really up the ante when it comes to the set, the prosthetics and the special effects so it makes sense that we do the same with our actors.”
The attraction, based nr. Preston and Blackburn, is bringing 6 all new attractions to the county for 2014, including a revamped version of the controversial Psychomanteum from last year. Critically acclaimed for it’s design and execution, the attraction relies heavily on both seasoned professional actors and amateurs that are looking for a diverse, challenging and somewhat different role.
Mark Lofthouse, an actor for Scare Kingdom Scream Park said;
“As far as acting goes, it’s a real hands on role. The immersive and interactive nature of the show means that as well as having a fantastic script and storyline to follow, we often have to improvise as it’s impossible to predict how the audience will react. It’s an exciting role that is different every time we perform - it definitely takes a special type of person to make a Scare Kingdom scare-actor!”

Scare Kingdom Scream Park, voted one of the UK’s Top Scream Parks in 2013, returns for its sixth consecutive year, totally re-imagined, and with a fear-filled slate of six attractions and experiences for horror buffs, thrill-seeking adrenaline junkies and fearless families.
The unique Lancashire scream park entertains thousands of guests every year with their sellout seasonal scare events at Halloween, Christmas and Valentines as well as hosting the world’s first overnight fright-filled camping experience, Horror Camp LIVE! during the summer months. The park offers guests a unique and seriously twisted live horror experience combining live scare-actors, special effects and heart-pumping thrills, across all-new scare attractions and experiences.
Following a major investment of £250,000 in 2013, Scare Kingdom was presented with an ‘Excellence in Design’ award, the first time in history for an attraction in Europe, for their installation of the UK’s newest permanent scare attraction Manormortis. In 2013, the now world-infamous Psychomanteum attraction was unlocked for the first time. The extreme full contact scare experience achieved worldwide notoriety and was named ‘The UK’s Sickest Attraction’ by The Sun. Psychomanteum returns once again this year, and is taking fear to an entirely new level, never before seen outside of America.
Scare Kingdom Scream Park is open on selected nights between October 4th and November 8th 2014 inclusive. Advance booking essential.
