Housing Association has
plenty to celebrate
Customers and key stakeholders will be given a taste of what lies ahead for Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) at its Annual General Meeting.
Karen Armitage, SARH Chief Executive, explained: “The theme of this year’s AGM is ‘Delivering More’ and we will be highlighting our multi-million pound plans for further investment in providing more affordable homes to meet local needs.
“Our efforts to help build and strengthen local communities through a range of initiatives will also be put under the spotlight, as will schemes to provide independent living services for over 1400 elderly residents.”
As a BEST 100 employer, SARH also aims to recognise the tremendous efforts of its staff over the past year by presenting two special awards. In addition to the ‘Aspiring For Excellence’ and ‘Apprentice of the Year’ Awards, the housing association will also be recognising a customer that’s gone the extra mile to help others or develop community spirit.
Karen said: “We’ve already received a lot of nominations for the Good Neighbour Award and the naming of the winner will be one of the highlights of a night that will celebrate all the good work that’s been done over the past year by SARH, its staff, partners and customers.
“Just like our customers, we have faced challenges in these difficult economic times so we’ve worked even harder to provide more services for the same money.
“Events such as this also provide another opportunity for people to provide feedback that will help shape our corporate plan as we look to provide more homes for local people and make Stafford and its surrounding rural areas a better place to live and work.”
The AGM will take place at SARH’s head office at The Rurals, 1 Parker Court, Staffordshire Technology Park, from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, September 11 and SARH customers who would like to attend please contact Sally Bowers on 01785 216 714 or email: sally.bowers@sarh.co.uk.
