JAMES POTTER EGGS CHALLENGES BAKERS TO CRACK ON AND GET BAKING FOR BRITISH EGG WEEK

James Potter Yorkshire Free Range Eggsis launching a baking competition on Twitter as part ofBritish Egg Week 2014, running 6-12 October.

‘The James Potter Bake-Off', inspired by The Great British Bake Off and Britain's current baking craze, will challenge people to tweet a picture of their most visually impressive baking results created using James Potter Yorkshire Free Range Eggs to the @JamesPotterEggs company Twitter page.

Entrants will be asked to include a mention of James Potter eggs in their tweet, along with the hashtag #JPBakeOff or #JPBO to be in with a chance of winning £50.

James Potter Yorkshire Free Range Eggs are sourced locally and predominately from the family farm. These are collected and packed daily which guarantees freshness and means that it is not uncommon for James Potter Eggs to be in the shops within 24 hours of being laid.

Adrian Potter, a director at James Potter Yorkshire Free Range Eggs, says: ‘We've seen a huge craze for baking in recent months, due in part to the success of the Great British Bake Off.

"Eggs are such a vital and versatile part of the baking process and are used in many recipes from cakes to meringues.

"We wanted to launch a competition that encourages people to get creative in the kitchen, and get the whole family involved in baking with fresh free range eggs.

"We wish there was a way we could taste the results for ourselves, but we are looking forward to seeing everyone's pictures and the imaginative ideas they come up with!"

More Britons are baking than ever before, with sales of baking products rising by 62% since 2007, inspired by shows like The Great British Bake Off.

This has been reflected in sales of James Potter Yorkshire Free Range Eggs, which have increased by 30% in the last year.
