Hair transplant pioneers FUE Hair Clinics©
responds to news that climbing the ladder to success in your career could be
bad news for your hair.
The news
comes as a study carried out on behalf of leading hair care product giant, L’Oréal
Professional on the eve of the company’s launch of their new anti-thinning
haircare range, Serioxyl. In the survey, where 2000 individuals were chosen, it
was found that high-flyers, those earning £75,000 and above are significantly
more sure that their hair is thinning and falling out due to the increased
stress that their well paid jobs offer. Far higher than figures for those on a
fraction of the wages at £15,000, stress is a trigger that can cause hair loss,
as sufferers of telogen effluvium are well aware.
One in five Britons
who earn a salary of more than £75,000 has blamed work stress for hair
thinning. Women feel the effects greater than men, with one in three physically
noticing thinning of their hair. Of those who earn lesser salaries, only one in
ten believed that their job role was the catalyst for their hair loss. Amongst
hair salon owners, High-paid MP’s and medical experts have all commented on the
link between high levels of stress, long hours and the thinning of hair.
Founder of
Percy & Reed salon, frequented by many A-list celebrities including Sophie
Dahl and Diane Kruger has stated that he has experienced hair loss due to
mounting stress of high ranking careers, saying:
“British
women are facing increasingly stressful lives as they struggle to balance
work-life pressures and their hair is suffering as a result. This research
leaves little doubt that stress is currently the biggest factor facing women
when it comes to their thinning hair.”
London-based
hair transplant procedure specialists FUE Hair Clinics© regularly react to
studies, relevant news and topical discussions within their industry. A company
spokesperson believes that along with stress, there are many factors that can
lead to hair loss but there are many treatments and procedures now available to
offer a solution:
“Between the
reasons being highlighted for hair loss in both women and men and the level to
where treatments and procedures have evolved to, it is clear that for many,
help is available. It is not uncommon for stressful events or physical trauma
to cause hair loss or thinning of the hair in both men and women of all ages
and whilst there are a number of medicines and treatments to offer, for many
who naturally succumb to baldness, we can offer some of the best cosmetic
procedures that are backed by very good success rates.”
