Barrett Steel wins place on league table of Britain's leading mid-market private companies/bs064-loc / 10.10.14

Barrett Steelhas won a place on a league table of Britain's leading private mid-market companies. The company achieved a place on the tenth annual Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table to be published this Sunday.

Andy Warcup, Group Financial Director, comments: "Despite challenging times in the industry Barrett Steel reported a near 50% increase in pre-tax profits as sales increased for the financial year to September 2013.

"Barrett, whose annual international sales grew by 45% over the last two years, recently achieved a place on the fifth annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table, an acknowledgement of the significant contribution made to the UK and regional economy."

The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 is compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based networking events and research company.
