Hull Veterinary group's Coffee Morning Fundraising Efforts
Staff at a Hull Veterinary Group raised more than £500 during their Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning fundraiser.
Last month, the Haven Veterinary Group hosted events at each of its two branches - Holderness Road and Hedon - where a total of £521.70 was raised from donations and cake sales for the cancer support charity.
At Hedon, the Group also hosted a tombola, a competition and sold dog and cat goody bags. Meanwhile, at the Holderness branch, pet goody bags were also on sale alongside a ‘Guess which cup has the double expresso in' competition.
Evie Beattie, Haven's senior practice administrator, said: "We are proud to have raised this amount for this worthy cause and all our cakes at both sites sold out - we thought they were good enough to make Mary Berry proud!
"Thank you to everyone who supported us, baked and bought our cakes and we hope to do as well for Macmillan next year."
The World's Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillian's biggest charity fundraising event. Last year, the same event raised £20 million for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Haven Veterinary Group has been treating and caring for small and large animals for over a century and its Holderness Road practice is one of only a few nurse training centres in East Yorkshire.
