Farm shop to host seasonal Producers' Day
The annual Christmas Food Producers' Day will take place at an award-winning Hornsea farm shop, butchery and café later this month.
William's Farm Kitchen is gearing up for a special event to help visitors prepare for their all-important Christmas food and drink selection as they approach the festive period.
Mark Farnsworth, William's Farm Kitchen owner, said the event will be a chance for customers to meet the producers.
"It's a great opportunity for visitors to try the products before they buy and find out where and how they are made."
He added: "It always gets the customers, and ourselves, in the festive spirit - it's the start of our Christmas countdown!"
Ian Barlow, of Michael Lee Fine Cheeses, said: "We are heading to William's Farm Kitchen with some Christmas specials such as Wensleydale cheese with mince pie, which I think is a winner!
"Another of our specialities is charcoal cheese which, as far as we know, is the only all-black cheese in Europe. It looks like a lump of coal and it's perfect for Christmas stockings!"
Matthew Topping, of the Topping Pie Company will be on hand to give visitors a pie education: "We'll have some of our pork pie based Christmas specialities at the event, including our pate and cranberry, game and poultry pies."
Gill Mellor, of Wold Top Brewery said: "We will be at William's Farm Kitchen with our full range. We always enjoy being a part of the Producers' Days as they're always very well organised and provide a great opportunity to engage with our customers."
William's Farm Kitchen is also hoping to entice customers with their extensive selection of Christmas hampers which come pre-made or with the choice to put together a personal hamper.
Orders can now be placed either online or in store for Christmas meats, including free range bronze turkey, Givendale prime beef and home cooked roast ham from outdoor reared pigs.
Enquiries regarding corporate orders can be made online at orders@williamsfarmkitchen.co.uk or by calling 01964 204301.
The producers' day will take place on Saturday November 29th at Hornsea Freeport.
