Mumpreneur Lisa Long wins National Business Awards

Mum and entrepreneurial businesswoman Lisa Long has been announced as the winner of the coveted Mumpreneur Awards 2014, an annual ceremony aimed at celebrating parents across the UK who manage the difficult and often almost seemingly impossible task of juggling running a business with family life and all the demands it makes.

Lisa, from Maidenhead in Berkshire, is a mum of 2 and runs More Than Words, a personalised typographic online art boutique, creating bespoke artwork for customers around the world as well as supplying pieces to retailers, celebrities and TV design shows.

Lisa was selected from literally thousands of entries, for exhibiting such outstanding growth since the company's launch in 2010. More Than Words really started out as a hobby, carried out around being a Mum to two small children, but the business has grown successfully year on year and now employs a skilled design team to cope with the increasing demand.

Speaking of the win Lisa said"I am absolutely over the moon to be recognised at this level for my achievements, and by such aspiring judges. It's been a fun but tough ride to ensure the business keeps growing year on year, and it's amazing to be able to celebrate its success in this way."
