London Stone, a company at the forefront of the natural
stone sector in the UK, attended the FutureScape Show at Sandown Park earlier
in the month.
The FutureScape landscape event took place on Tuesday 18th
November at Sandown Park Racecourse and played host to a total of 150
exhibitors, including London Stone, and 1,000+ visitors. The show is aimed at
landscapers, garden designers, landscape architects and contractors.
The London Stone stand featured a large range of popular
stone options, with attention-grabbing displays showing off sawn copings and
edgings as well as treads, masonry solutions and sawn paving slabs.
A number of established companies in the sector, including
plant growers, manufacturers of artificial turf and other stone suppliers were
also in attendance.
The event was endorsed by the Society of Garden Designers
(SGD), Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) and the British
Association of Landscape Industries (BALI), along with many more trade bodies
and known industry figures, including Landscape Hub – an increasingly popular
online community.
The London Stone exhibit received a torrent of visitors over
the course of the day, giving them a great opportunity to interact with other
companies and professionals and take on new ideas, information, best practices
and rising trends. In particular, visitors were impressed by the quality and
breadth of bullnosed step treads and sawn coping stones and treads showcased by
the London Stone team.
A representative for London Stone said: “FutureScape was
really enjoyable and we had a great time, meeting some wonderful new people and
getting to share information, ideas and products with many industry leaders.
One of the highlights of the event was definitely showcasing our range of
stone. In all, we displayed heath sawn sandstone, abbey sawn sandstone,
moleanos beige limestone, classic travertine filled, blue black slate, silver
grey granite and blue grey granite paving samples.”
Marketing Manager for London Stone, Rebecca Walley, said:
“The show was great, we had a wonderful time chatting away to people we know
and also to lots of new faces.”
Gavin and Steven Walley, two of the London Stone directors,
were also in attendance, meeting new and prospective customers face to face to
discuss their stone solutions in depth, explaining that sandstone selections
are most popular as the desirable beige accents compliment most spaces and
provide a contemporary and well maintained feel.
London Stone are based in Berkshire and have showrooms in
West, South East and North East London. The company was established in 2005 by
the three Walley brothers – Gavin, Steven and Duncan – and has quickly grown to
become one of the biggest in the United Kingdom for natural paving. Visit their
