As Britain braces for big freeze, Betterware says wrapping up warm is a must

Betterware, known best for homeware products, have weighed in on winter weather warnings, stressing the importance of staying warm.

The media has warned that Britain is once again braced for plummeting temperature and ferocious snowstorms as the arctic weather is finally set to arrive in December.

Forecasters this week warned that snowstorms which recently left large areas of America crippled and under feet of snow could arrive in Britain as early as next week, with a change in jet stream position pushing cold temperatures towards Britain.

The Met Office, known for being understated in the face of severe forecasts, have issued that we could see “very cold spells” in December.

A forecaster for Exacta Weather, James Madden, explained: “As we progress throughout the final few days of November and into the start of the proper meteorological weather, it is likely to become much colder and more seasonal.

“There are likely to be some widespread frosts and stubborn fog patches, that may struggle to clear throughout the day at times.

“December is now odds-on to be a colder than average month with a number of widespread snow events, however our forecasting parameters have always indicated that there is the potential for some even more severe wintry conditions in the run-up to and after the new year.”

Betterware, one of the UK’s biggest multi-channel retail employers, believes that with snow and plummeting temperatures on the horizon, now’s the time to make sure you’re prepared for the Christmas period.

A representative for the company said: “With temperatures set to drop and snow supposedly on its way, it’s now a great time to make sure you’ve got all of your winter essentials, from ear muffs and thermal stocks to umbrellas and to de-icers.

“It will also be interesting to see how the weather affects shoppers as you can’t imagine many people would be eager to visit the high street in dangerous and freezing cold conditions, especially not when they can pick up their smartphones or hop on the computer and buy great Christmas gifts direct from the internet. Already we’ve had lots of online sales and we expect even more shoppers if the weather continues to get worse.”

Betterware was founded in 1928 and is the UK’s leading door-to-door and online seller of housewares and other products. They have a selection of Christmas and winter-based items and deliver throughout the UK. Visit http://www.betterware.co.uk/ to find out more.
