4see duo compete to raise cash for Marie Curie

Two team members from Towcester based Health, Safety and Environmental consultancy, 4see, have held a personal battle in raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Hugh Owen and Danny McCreath, both suitably attired in fetching Marie Curie outfits, challenged each other to see who could raise the most for the charity while fundraisingat the Asda store in Northampton.

After a strenuous day's work it was Hugh who triumphed with £186.15in his tin, just piping Danny who raised £167.45 - making a grand total of £353.60 overall.

Said Hugh: "Having worked closely with Marie Curie over the last 12 months, we have been able to see the fantastic work they do, and what a difference they make. We were really keen to do our bit and felt with two of us, and a little competitive spirit, we would be able to raise a few pounds. It was a great day with lots of lovely comments and we were really grateful to the generous people of Northampton."

Lloyd Butcher, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Community Fundraiser - Midlands & Anglia, said: "They are fantastic results. The total of £353.60 equates to nearly 18 hours of nursing care which is amazing."
