SANDWICH BRAND'S ‘SANDWICH SELFIE' SUCCESS

URBAN eat, the UK's leading sandwich brand, is giving lucky Kerri Bogues a New Year's Eve to remember.

Kerri, who is studying Criminology at the University of Manchester, was amongst the huge number of consumers who took part in URBAN eat's recent ‘Sandwich Selfie' promotion in an attempt to win an all-expenses paid trip to spend New Year in New York.

And, for 21 year old Kerri, the prize turned out to be extra special as it means she will be able to celebrate in style with her American boyfriend Jeremy who is currently living in the Big Apple, she explains: "I met Jeremy when I was in New York earlier this year and we were both really upset that we weren't going to be able to be together over the holidays so this really is like a dream come true.

"As soon as I saw the New Year in New York flyer I was very excited but I have to be honest even though I entered dozens of times I really didn't believe I would be in with a chance of winning when there was such an amazing prize up for grabs.

"I was already a big URBAN eat fan before I got the call to tell me I had won but am even more so now! I have been eating at least one URBAN eat sandwich a week over the past couple of years, my current favourite is probably the Cheese & Tomato Panini although I do like to try anything that's new in the range."

URBAN eat Brand Manager Isla Owen explains: "The ‘Sandwich Selfie' competition proved to be one of our most successful ever promotions and we were overwhelmed by the level of interest and number of entries it generated.

"It really enabled us to engage with a host of new consumers and whilst ultimately the winner was drawn at random, that didn't stop people getting into the spirit of the brand and coming up with some incredible ‘selfies' that certainly got people talking across our social media channels."

The sandwich manufacturer has now launched a brand new Crafty Kids promotion (http://craftykids.urbaneat.co.uk/) that will see it giveaway thousands of pounds worth of arts and crafts materials to schools and nurseries across the UK during December.
