UK interior office consultants and suppliers, Bevlan, have
responded to news that Derby technology firm, Datapath, have expended their
office space to increase their workforce by 50%, a growing trend within the UK.
12,000 square feet of space at Bemrose Park, in Wayzgoose
Drive has been taken by the company, thanks to the company seeing a taken
turnover above £20 million. The company occupies a once derelict office space,
which used to be home to printing firm BemroseBooth.
The expansion has been due to a consistent annual growth
rate of 30%, which has seen the necessity for the company to expand. The
mass-transit systems Datapath create have seen an increase in use, with President
Obama recently using the graphic cards to witness the death of Osama Bin Laden.
Nigel Fasey, finance director for Datapath said, ‘When we
first looked at Bemrose House, it was derelict and in a terrible state, so we
took a leap of faith.’
The need for office space has been on the increase, as
companies start to recover from the recession, with derelict or completely
rebuilt offices being popular choices, so the interiors can be customised to
fit a company’s needs.
Bevlan, who often respond to industry news, have commented
on the increase in office space and what it means for the country and their
business. A spokesperson for Bevlan said, ‘The increase in office space is a
sign which shows that office expansions aren’t shrinking down at all, with businesses
needing to expand to fulfil demand. Seeing companies such as Datapath expand is
great for the country’s economy and helps provide people with jobs.
Making the best use of office space can be tricky though,
and we at Bevlan provide a number of services, which can help make use of the
space in the most effective way, and furnishing the building with practical
professional looking furniture. Increases in office space seen with Datapath
are a standard, rather than an exception, and we hope to see a continuing
increase in office expansions. ‘
