the recent shortlisting of Oakley Landscapes LTD, who have been nominated in
the Hard Landscaping Category at the APL Awards 2015.
The Association of Professional Landscapers Awards (APL)
have been running on a yearly basis since 1995, and the awards take place to
help Landscapers promote their company and find recognition in finding future
work. The awards they cover are Project Values, Feature, Hard Landscaping,
Overall Design & Build, Community Garden, and Rising Star.
All companies featured in the awards receive a logo, an
inclusion in the APL Awards Showcase brochure and a certificate, with the
winner receiving a winner’s logo and the opportunity to go on stage on the day
of the awards. Winners are chosen via a judging panel, which include Bob Sweet
(ex RHS Head of Garden Judging), James Steel-Sargent (Arun landscapes), and
Sorrel Everton (Gardens Illustrated). The show takes place on the 13th
March 2015, with the judges winners revealed live to the audience.
Bob Sweet, a member of the judging panel said, ‘It is
encouraging to know that there is so much landscaping talent within the APL,
which comparatively speaks highly of the landscape industry we know in the UK.’
