Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) is helping to make dreams come true for children this Christmas - by forwarding their letters to Santa.

Wish lists are departing daily for the North Pole from Stafford as the big day draws near, with the community-minded housing association happy to do its bit to ensure seasonal requests reach Father Christmas.

Letters can be posted at the SARH Advice Shop, in Greyfriars, Stafford, from 9am to 5pm Monday - Friday (9am-12.30pm Wednesday). Last posting day is Friday, December 19.

There is no charge for the service, with paper and pens available, or visitors can bring a letter already written. A name and address is essential in order to receive a reply from Santa in time for Christmas.

The SARH Shop acts as a one stop drop-in point where families can find out more about SARH services and the many different ways the association is supporting the local community.

Karen Armitage, Chief Executive of Stafford and Rural Homes, commented: "SARH is always looking to help the local community, and that includes the children, at what is a very special time of year.

"We know how much it means to a child, and how exciting it is, to send a letter to Santa and we take great pleasure in playing our part to make sure their wish lists get through to him during the busy festive period.

"Pop your letters in to us at SARH and we will do the rest!"
