NFS Technology Group, provider of hotel software, have
responded to a report suggesting that hotel performance for regional UK hotels
is set for continued growth until the end of the year and into 2015.
The report, Hotel
Market Profitability Forecast, released as part of a joint effort by
HotStats and e-forecasting.com, suggests that before the year ends total
revenue per available room (TRevPAR) and gross operating profit per available
room (GOPPAR) for regional hotels in the UK should see 6.5% and 14.4% growth
respectively.
On the other hand, growth in London is expected to be
substantially slower, with only 1.3% TRevPAR growth and 1.8% GOPPAR growth
expected come the end of December.
Positive growth figures are set to continue well into 2015,
with both TRevPAR and GOPPAR expected to continue climbing both regionally and
in London.
General manager of HotStats, Pablo Alonso, said: “HotStats
has a long-standing commitment to deliver total revenue and hotel profitability
as the ultimate hotel metrics. We are very excited about the new level of hotel
market intelligence insights that our partnership with e-forecasting will allow
us to bring to our current and future customers as well as to the industry as a
whole.”
STR Global, another hotel data specialist, believes RevPAR
in 2015 will rise by 3%.
Managing director of STR Global, Elizabeth Winkle, said:
“Demand growth picked up in November, showing the fastest increase in this
measure of any month in 2014 so far. Our RevPAR forecast for 2015 remains
positive in anticipation of the Rugby World Cup towards the end of the year and
due to the confidence in a growing UK as well as European economy in the coming
years.”
