Yorkshire farm machinery business's growth leads to recruitment
Growing sales at an East Yorkshire farm machinery importer has led to recruitment.
Sancton based Manterra Ltd. has recruited Bishop Burton graduate, Hannah Bottomley to the new position of Office Manager.
21 year old Hannah, from Seaton, near Hornsea is involved with all elements of Manterra's sales, marketing and administration functions.
Manterra founder, farmer and agronomist Andrew Manfield said: "Since Manterra was appointed the sole UK distributor for Unia Group Limited and an authorised dealer for Trimble, things have been very hectic, so Hannah's appointment has proved invaluable."
Hannah is from a Teesdale farming family and workedfor Yorkshire Dairy Goats in Ottringham before joining Manterra.She said:
"The job is working out really well. We've just returned from LAMMA, where we received an unprecedented number of enquiries, so I'm busy following them all up."
Hannah's appointment takes the number of employees at the farm based business to seven.
Manterra will be exhibiting at the Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show (YAMS) at Murton on 4thFebruary.
Manterra was established by farmer and agronomist, Andrew Manfield in 2011 and has its foundations in a farming business that was established at the beginning of the last century. Manterra is also an authorised dealer for Trimble precision agriculture products and Duport spoke wheel injectors. In addition, Manterra is the key technology supplier to the Stockbridge Technology Centre SATS4CROPS project that has secured Innovate UK funding for a three year trial to commercialise innovative precision farming technology.
