Prestigious industry award nomination for Briggs Equipment

A Cannock-based materials handling specialist has been named a finalist in the Fork Lift Truck Association's (FLTA) Awards for Excellence 2015. The awards were set up topromote and reward excellence and the Oscars-style awards ceremony is a highlight of the materials handling industry's calendar.

Briggs Equipment, which is based in Orbital Way, has been shortlisted for the Customer Focus Award. The nomination recognises the company's investment in BE Portal, a new interactive, web-based reporting system designed to empower customers to improve fleet management by giving them access to vital data when and where they want it.

Briggs Equipment's New Business Implementation Manager Andy Langley says: "Our aim was to give customers real control over their materials handling equipment and by providing total transparency, along with the essential data they need to make key business decisions, many are using the system to proactively manage their fleet, resulting in improved performance and lower costs.

"We're delighted that the FLTA has acknowledged our work to improve fleet management with this prestigious Award nomination."

The FLTA will announce the winners of its 2015 Awards for Excellence - and present them with the coveted ‘Archie' statuette - at a gala awards evening at The International Centre in Telford on February 28.
