Bosinver Wins Hat Trick Including Winner of Winners

at South West Tourism Excellence Awards

Bosinver Farm Cottages, a unique collection of holiday properties set in an idyllic hidden valley in Cornwall, was crowned Winner of Winners at last night's South West Tourism Excellence Awards, as well as receiving a Gold and Bronze award.

The Awards were held last night, 12^thFebruary, at the Grand Pier in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, with a record number of entries from across the South West.

The family run self-catering holiday accommodation provider in Trelowth, near St Austell, was awarded Gold for ‘Self Catering Holiday Provider of the Year' and Bronze in the ‘Sustainable Tourism Award', in addition to being chosen as ‘Winner of Winners'.

‘Winner of Winners' is decided by the judges as the entrant that is an exemplar in its field;Bosinverwas inspected by two different mystery visitors, both of whom were "inspired" by the business that constantly strives for excellence whilst sharing its ideas with other businesses.

Robin Barker, organiser of the South West Tourism Excellence Awards stated:
"Tourism is a huge industry, but made up of thousands of predominantly small businesses, many of whom rarely talk to each other. As this year's Winner of Winners,Bosinveris not only a multiple award winner itself - winning two awards this year - but also goes that extra mile in enhancing their destination and encouraging others to do so."

This is a remarkable achievement for this ambitious, eco-friendly family business that topped 425 other entries from Isles of Scilly in the west to Salisbury in the east and Cirencester in the north, including Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset, Bath, Bristol and Gloucestershire.

Bosinver qualified for the South West Tourism Excellence Awards as a winner of the Cornwall Tourism Awards in November, where the company secured Gold for ‘Self-Catering Holiday of the Year', as well as claiming the top spot in the ‘Sustainable Tourism' category.

The South West Tourism Excellence Awards form the regional heat of the national VisitEngland awards, to which Bosinver will now progress in May.
