LinkedIn Revenues Soar in 2014, DML Comments

Major UK SEO Company, DML, have recently commented on the latest LinkedIn report for 2014, which reveals revenue increases of 44 per cent over the fourth quarter.

In the fourth quarter of 2014, a total revenue of $643 million was made, beating analyst expectations of $617 million. Similar positive results have been experienced by rival social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

Chief of LinkedIn, Jeff Weiner, said, ‘The fourth quarter capped another successful year for LinkedIn, which was marked by steady growth and strong financial results. We continued to make significant progress against a number of multi-year, strategic initiatives including mobile, jobs, content, and global expansion.’

Full tear revenues came in at $2.2 billion, a 45 per cent increase over 2013’s figures, which was $1.5 billion. 60 per cent of the total was generated in the US, the rest gained internationally. This was due to recruitment, premium subscriptions and marketing experiencing an uplift over the fourth quarter with a 41, 38 and 56 split between the three.

Often commenting on industry news, a spokesperson for DML said, ‘The LinkedIn results are in line with Twitter and Facebook figures. All these social networks are growing in size, and it displays just how vital it is for a business to have a social plan in place. The internet works best when everything is connected in some way or form, and social media brings the business directly to the people, and potential customers.
