recently commented on Sue Dodd’s belief that 2015 will see a growth in the
recruitment sector, thanks to the permanent placement market.
Director at Agile Intelligence and compiler of the
Recruiter’s Hot 100 list, Sue Dodd, revealed at the Royal Bank of Scotland’s
City of London offices that she believes that the permanent placement market
will help the recruitment sector grow in 2015.
Dodd believes that businesses will see a decent amount of
growth over the next few years, with the UK recruitment sector seeing these
benefits thanks to the rise in the permanent placement market. This rise is
expected to go on through to next year, thanks to the gradual rise in general
employment.
This information goes in line with the news revealed by the
Office for National Statistics, which states that employment rates are the
highest in a decade, with 73.2% of people aged between 16 and 64 being in jobs
between October and December in 2014.
The increase has been steady throughout the year, with a
0.2% increase between July and September 2014, and a 1.2% increase between
October and December 2014.
This has also affected the number of unemployed, with
unemployment down by 97,000 making for 1.86 million unemployed between September
and December 2014. The current adult working unemployment rate is 5.7% after
the drops seen in the previous year.
