Increase in the capital’s
Workforce? GSR2R respond
GSR2R, a key recruitment service in London, have been quick to comment on the recent results released by the CBI, concerning 127 major businesses actively employing in the capital – with those who expect their workforce to grow over this year at 54%, a comfortable majority.
These recruitment prospects are especially attractive to graduates, with jobs in the capital offering a potential for aims and expansion following university. Experts predict that this potential for growth in the workforce is a key sign of big business responding to the shifts in higher education. Higher tuition fees, a point surely to be of contention in the upcoming General Election, mean that jobs in the city are often aspired for.
Popularity of the Labour market
It could be a case of aspiration leading to accommodation, with not only the prospect of more jobs in London, but the accompanying figures of a possible increase in pay also. 43% of firms are planning a pay rise according to the same survey. This means that pay is potentially appropriating itself to the cost of qualification, making London a perhaps even more desirable place to seek work this 2015.
Yet the potential of employment available, leads to the inevitable bulk application. This is something GSR2R are acutely aware of in the current economic climate and an issue they respond to often. “It is great that the prospect of better job and pay opportunities are becoming available in the capital.” A spokesperson said “However, this does not necessarily mean that such jobs will be straightforward to attain, these high-demand, desirable positions require those with the most appropriate skills rather than a quick-fix – and whether you are an employee or a recruiter, making the right selection is essential.
Responsible Recruitment
In turn, what it is important to develop is a sustainable talent base from which employment can be steady and hopefully this trend can continue. As a Rec to Rec in London specialist, we know how competitive the job market can be in the city, even at times at growth. We help people make constructive sense of this positivity, allowing recruiters to select the best for the role.’
GSR2R is a leading recruitment agency in London, building strong connections from over thirteen years of experience in sourcing talent. Working across a variety of sectors on an international scale, they have developed an aptitude of finding the right candidate for the role. For more information go to
