Tulip Agrees Deal to Become Sole UK Licensor forIPOSOL® 

Tulip Ltd has announced it has agreed a deal with IPOSOL® GMBH to become the UK's sole licensor for the company's innovative sea salt solution, first used in Tulip's Danepak bacon, which delivers the same great taste for up to 30% less salt. 

The deal, which coincides with Salt Awareness Week (16th-22nd March), allows Tulip the opportunity to offer UK licenses across a variety of Retail and Foodservice channels, with partners wishing to use IPOSOL® in a wide range of food categories.

Salt levels in food are a major issue for UK consumers, who regularly exceed recommended intake levels. Evidence shows that eating too much salt may increase the risk of developing high blood pressure, which in turn, is linked to strokes and heart disease. IPOSOL® has the potential to make a significant contribution to a healthier diet.

Tulip's Danepak bacon brand is the first in the UK to use IPOSOL® in its ground-breaking curing process, as IPOSOL® UK Country Director, Mark Phillips explains, the opportunity for other companies to use the innovative product under license is now a reality; "IPOSOL® allows manufacturers to use up to 30% less salt without compromising on taste. It has no added ingredients verses everyday salt, and is easy to use in a wide variety of food manufacturing processes.
