Microsoft recognises Columbus for Retail Expertise
Retailers looking to deliver an outstanding customer experience through a best practice omni-channel solution can now work with an international consultancy that has been accredited by Microsoft and recognised for its expertise in the retail market.
With a long list of accreditations gained over the past 25 years, Columbus has now received the highest industry honour with the recognition of the Microsoft Dynamics AX retail partner status.
The company took part in the Microsoft EIPP EMEA programme, an industry acceleration programme, with a select number of partners from the UK, Germany and France. Over a two-day workshop, Columbus was put through its paces to determine whether it understands the modern needs of retail businesses, and whether its tailored ERP solutions are effective in solving the issues and challenges faced by omni-channel retailers.
Mary Hunter, Managing Director of Columbus, commented: “Omni-channel retailers face increasing challenges to deliver a complete shopping experience for customers. They need to constantly gain insight into customer buying habits, operate with agility, exceed customer expectations and build enduring loyalty. To enable this, seamless supply chain integration across a wide range of channels is critical; co-ordinating front-of-house systems and webstores with back office solutions, such as finance, warehousing and purchasing.
“Our directors and management team attended a number of engaging workshops and meetings with Microsoft, looking at the way we tailor our support to retail companies. After demonstrating our industry knowledge and expertise, we were awarded Microsoft Dynamics AX retail partner status, which is testament to our team’s capabilities.”
Columbus has been servicing the retail sector globally for many years, adapting and implementing proven solutions to help maximise efficiency and overall business performance. The company provides a fully encompassing retail ERP solution, offering end-to-end functionality to omni-channel retail businesses to help manage various channels through one single solution.
Adding further to its services to retailers, Columbus has recently produced a white paper aimed at informing retailers on how to improve the customer experience through efficient use of data. The paper explores the importance of understanding the relation between Big Data and integrated back-end solutions such as ERP, in order to create an intelligent shopping experience, operate effective order systems, and provide a seamless customer experience.
Mary
Hunter concluded: “Since we launched our retail solutions offering, we have
developed a strong relationship with Microsoft and the sector and we are
constantly developing our affinity with the retail industry to ensure that we
continue to provide solutions to the current challenges faced by retail
businesses. Our ERP solutions, referencability and accreditations from
Microsoft is testimony to that.”
