Kestrel appoints new national sales manager for France

Leading UK PVC-UE roofline and window line manufacturer Kestrel has appointed Thierry Schoen as its national sales manager for France.

Thierry, who hails from Luxembourg and speaks fluent French, has a strong background in sales, having previously worked as a commercial manager and in business development for construction services companies.

Thierry said: "Kestrel is a brand that is going from strength to strength and I am very fortunate to be joining at such an exciting time.

"Kestrel already enjoys good brand recognition and market share in France, and I plan to work with the team to increase the number of distributors across the country."

While manufactured in the UK, Kestrel products are established in France, having been introduced to the country in the 1990s.

Thierry, who will have an administrative base in London, started his post on March 2 and has already visited a number of Kestrel customers across France.

He sees the French market as one full of opportunities.

"This is a period of great investment and expansion for Kestrel, we have a wide range of high quality products and our on time and in full (OTIF) levels in France are the highest they have ever been," he said.

"While we have good market recognition, France is four times the size of the UK, so we have great opportunities ahead and I'm very much looking forward to the challenge."

Thierry will report directly to Kestrel sales and marketing director Simon Reynolds, who wasted no time in welcoming the new recruit to his team.

Simon said: "Thierry has robust experience in the building products sector.

"Not only is his sales background strong, he has good practical knowledge and experience of delivering CPD presentations to British architects.

"Thierry brings to this role the energy and enthusiasm that will enable Kestrel to further build our market share," he added.

The focus on expansion comes after a period of significant investment in operations, fleet and tooling for Kestrel, which has seen the brand achieve its highest ever OTIF rate of 99.8 per cent.

Along with order fulfillment, Kestrel has traditionally focused on quality: The brand holds the BES6001 standard for responsible sourcing, has Kitemark KM 606759 and meets the ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality standards.
