RAIL COMPANIES PASS THE BUCK TO PASSENGERS TO FIND CHEAP RAIL TICKETS.

It's been left up to passengers to find the cheapest tickets. Savings of up to 22% on 44% of through journeys.

These are unlikely to be offered by Big Train Companies according to the latest government ‘Office of Rail Regulation' report.

‘Combination tickets' on a through journey will only be sold to passengers if they specify them. These tickets are already offered by train buff sites: ‘TrainSplit and Raileasy'. They say it's easy to access online. Same train, same seat, big saving. Big Train companies under the new Code of Practice should inform travellers of available cheaper prices, but will likely avoid this.
