The Russell Group exhibits at Transport Logistic 2015 in Munich

The Russell Group, the Scottish based transport and logistics firm, will be attending this year's Transport Logistic exhibition in Munich from 5^th to 8^th May. Transport Logistic is one of the main international platforms for the industry's key directors, with more than 50,000 visitors from companies across the continent attending the four day event. Russell representatives will be at stand 225, in Hall B5 at the Messe Mϋnchen, exhibiting Russell's logistics solutions, including its European rail services.

The Russell Group have been pioneering the use of rail freight as a sustainable transport method since the 1970's, with their first European service introduced in 2014. This service, a collaboration with Eurotunnel's GB Railfreight and Europorte France, operates between Barking and Dourges, near Lille, sending goods along HS1 and through the Channel Tunnel.

International Branch Manager Derek Murray said: "We will be in Germany looking to link up with like-minded operators with the intention that we grow our European network. This will complement our existing links from Scotland through Barking, making use of the Channel Tunnel to France, with links to Spain."

Kenneth Russell, the Group's Sales Director said: "Transport Logistic is a key industry event and we are excited to be meeting many new overseas companies. We aim to use this show to increase the volume through our rail terminals and Scottish distribution network, as well as attracting interest from continental companies sourcing products from Scotland."
