Lymm RFC summer marquee hosts arrayof entertainment

The summer marquee at Lymm Rugby Club will host something for everyone this June.

A posh Masquerade Ball, Ladies Lunch, Sportsman's Evening and a hilarious Vaudeville Variety Show are all part of a great entertainment programme from 13 to 19 June.

'We have a range of events planned to give a great fortnight of fun,' said club President and Lymm Panto producer Simon Plumb. ‘It's all to raise funds for the Grass Roots Clubhouse Appeal, so we can put Lymm Rugby Club at the heart of the community.'

The annual Posh Party on the Pitch on Saturday 13/6 will be a Masquerade Ball with black tie and posh frocks, featuring a live band and three course meal.

Phil Bennett is the speaker at the black tie Sportsman's Evening on Thursday 18 June, the former Wales International and British Lion legend. Tables of ten are available from Mal Pritchard on 07855 322248 - a must for corporate entertainment.

'As part of the Lymm Festival, and back by popular demand after a great performance last year, the world famous Lymm Panto cast are producing the Vaudeville Variety Show featuring burlesque dancing and saucy sketches, on Friday 19 June.

'This Vaudeville Show is a showcase event for those who struggle to get Lymm Panto tickets at Christmas,' added Simon.

The successful Ladies Charity Lunch on Friday 19 June, with many local schools involved, precedes the Vaudeville Show and double tickets for both events are available from Colette Cartwright on 07789 265447.

‘Our huge, wonderful, summer marquee will also host a presentation day for the Lymm Rugby Club's Mini and Junior section on Sunday 14 June,' concluded Plumb.
