A housing association has received huge interest in its latest development that promises to deliver high quality homes at affordable rents near to Stafford town centre.

Specifically designed to have wide appeal, William Horton Court is set to welcome its first customers in May and June, and Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) believes the £4.4 million project will prove to be its most popular yet.

Chris Plant, the community landlord's Head of Housing Management, explained: "This really is our flagship development; with 27 two-bedroom and 18 one-bedroom apartments it's ideal for single people, couples and families who work in or near the town centre.

"Thanks to excellent transport links, it will also appeal to people who work out of the area but want to remain in Stafford to live. The apartments are also ideal for those who want to ‘right size' their home.

"Whilst renting privately has become increasingly expensive, William Horton Court meets a local need for high-quality, affordable homes.

"It's no surprise it has already generated lots of interest from people wanting to move in, and I would urge anyone interested in becoming part of a vibrant, new community to get in touch with SARH as soon as possible or risk missing out."

As well as meeting growing housing demand the scheme has already helped to regenerate an important area of Stafford, being located on a major route into the town.

Throughout the planning and construction phase of the project, SARH has worked closely with Stafford Borough Council, the developers Kier Partnership Homes and the local community.

Karen Armitage, SARH Chief Executive, added: "We're delighted that this flagship project is now nearing completion, and everyone at SARH is excited about welcoming many new customers.

"All the apartments at William Horton Court are spacious and finished to a very high standard, and we're very proud to offer these truly outstanding properties at affordable rents in Stafford."
