A Stafford-based housing association is urging its customers to show off their horticultural skills by entering a popular competition.
Every year, dozens of Stafford and Rural Homes customers open up their gardens to judges as part of the community landlord's annual gardening competition.
In 2014 the standard was higher than ever, with top-class entries in a range of categories covering window boxes, borders and allotments as well as more traditional front and back gardens.
Now applications are being invited for this summer's competition and a bumper crop of entries are expected.
Sandra Shipperley, Customer Liaison Officer, SARH explained: "The Garden Awards have become one of the highlights of our calendar and every year it grows in popularity.
"The awards also give us the chance to recognise and support the efforts our customers are making to improve the areas where they live, whilst throwing the spotlight on some hidden garden gems!"
The competition is open to all SARH customers in communities across Stafford and surrounding areas and the deadline for entries is Friday, June 5. Judging takes place in July with the winners announced during a special Awards event in August.
Further information, including details on categories and how to enter can be found atwww.sarh.co.uk. Alternatively, call us on Freephone 0800 111 4554 or pick up an entry form from our main office at Parker Court or our Customer Advice Shop at Greyfriars, Stafford.
