Yorkshire farm machinery importer launches Unia Max Cultivator
An East Yorkshire farm machinery importer has further consolidated his partnership with Polish manufacturing giant, Unia, by launching its Max Seedbed Cultivator in the UK.
Market Weighton based Manterra Ltd. is the sole UK importer for Unia Group, Central Europe's leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery.
Of the launch of the Max Cultivator, Manterra founder, farmer and agronomist Andrew Manfield said: "The Max is a strong, cost effective spring tine cultivator with widths from 3m to 9m and mounted or semi-mounted options.
"Key features of the Max include its excellent contour following, multiple levelling boards to ensure a quality finish and several finishing roller options.
"Overall, the Max gives the highest work rates with lowest possible cost per acrecompared with its more expensive competitors."
Mr Stephenson of East Yorkshire was looking for a strong and cost effective cultivator to work after the plough. He is very pleased with the Unia: "We have got the quality of work and the work rate that we wanted at a price we did not think possible."
Unia Max Seedbed Cultivators start at £4,995 for a three metre version and
£8,995 for the six metre model.
Andrew Manfield is delighted with the performance of the Unia products that he has imported. "I had been looking for a manufacturer of high quality, low cost cultivation, spreading and seeding equipment for clients with a tight budget and Unia Group has exceeded my expectations.
"In terms of value for money, they are unbeaten. Although relatively unknown in the UK, they have an excellent, 132 year pedigree and I expect that they won't remain unknown for very long."
Manterra will be showing Unia Group's spreaders, Kos semi mounted stubble cultivators, Ares discs and Max tined cultivators at the Great Yorkshire Show in July.
Manterra Ltd was established by farmer and agronomist, Andrew Manfield in 2011 and has its foundations in a farming business that was established at the beginning of the last century. Manterra is also a dealer for Trimble precision agricultural products in the north of the UK and Duport spoke wheel injectors. In addition, Manterra is the key technology supplier to the Stockbridge Technology Centre SATS4CROPS project that has secured Innovate UK funding for a three year trial to commercialise innovative precision farming technology.
Founded in 1882, Unia Group employs 1350 people at its four manufacturing sites in Poland and France and exports to over 60 countries. It produces 25,000 machines per annum.
