East Yorkshire brewery celebrates double shortlist success

 

Wold Newton brewery, Wold Top Brewery has been shortlisted for two prestigious awards.

 

The team at Wold Top have reached the final of the Best Small Family Business category in the Red Ribbon awards that are the UK's only national awards that recognise the achievements of family-run companies irrespective of size or sector.

 

The brewery has also been recognized for its export growth with a place in the final of theYorkshire Business InsiderEmerging Exporter award in the Yorkshire International Trade Awards.

 

Of the success, Kate Balchin, a fourth generation family member, said: "We're thrilled to have reached the finals of these competitions and proud to be raising the profile of Yorkshire producers at home and abroad."

 

The winners of the Red Ribbon award will be announced at anAwards Ceremony & Charity Ball on Friday 10 July 2015 at the Underglobe at Shakespeare's Globe in London.

 

The winners of theYorkshire International Trade Awards will be announced atprestigious dinner at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on 4 June.

 

Farm based Wold Top Brewery brews traditional real ale from home and Wolds grown malting barley, the finest hops and chalk-filtered water from the farm's own borehole. Its range of award winning ales is available nationwide.
