Manchester freight forwarder celebrates 35 years in business

Hi
Here's a good news story about a Manchester firm celebrating 35 years in business.  If you could use even a few lines, that would be super, thank you.

Best wishes

A Manchester-based company which was set up by four French hauliers is wishing itself " Bon Anniversaire" on its 35thbirthday.

Cross channel road freight specialist France Line International Transport has been operating successfully since May 1980, providing services from the UK to its Gallic neighbour.

With a totally bilingual team, they believe their ability to understand both French and English cultures and working practices sets them apart from their competitors.

Since 2008 it has steadily grown under the leadership of its MD Marie Boyer. Its services, customer base and profitability have all increased - and with turnover and staff numbers doubling, the award winning team moving to bigger offices last year.

The freight forwarder, based Barton Dock Road onTrafford Park, was set up by four small hauliers from different areas in France, to act as their sales agent and to provide them with freight back from the UK.

For many years the company offered only export services to France. But it has gone on to develop close partnerships with a number of English, French and European hauliers - whilst retaining commercial agreements with two of its founding hauliers.

Over the last few years the company has had its success repeatedly recognised. In January 2010, it appeared in the list of the top Freight Forwarding and Logistics companies in Greater Manchester and Cheshire published by the weekly business Manchester newspaper Crain's.

A year later, Marie was voted Transport Woman of the Year at Jo Cameron's Network of Aspiring Women Awards.

Marie has also been a Woman of the Year finalist for two years running at the Women in Logistics Awards. France Line has also been a finalist in the Small Company of the Year Category at the same awards.

In 2013 France Line became the only the second UK company to become a member of the ASTRE European logistics network, and have access to its pallet network for the distribution of part loads throughout France.

Marie said: "France Line ongoing success is due to building a team of great people who all share the same passion for customer service and communication, and making our customers' job and life easier."
