Anything for Bollywood

Anything for a Bollywood Film

Determined actor Kiran Rai refused to give up his part in a new major Bollywood film after suddenly being dropped by Sri Lankan producers. Dropped because his Sinhalese was not good enough, the film was shelved. Kiran flew home and decided to raise the money himself and get it made himself. Ex-ASOS model Kiran then spent four weeks outside Waterloo station asking members of the public to help fund his film. In the four weeks Kiran raised £13,000.

The film is based on a real unsolved case in America. D.B. Copper is still the only unsolved air privacy case in America. In 1971 Copper hijack a Boeing 727 extorted $1,160,000 (today's money) and parachuted to freedom. Cooper was never found nor his location positively identified despite an extensive FBI hunt.

This incredible story has now got another twist in its tail with Kiran taking it upon himself to raise the money to make ‘Parachute'. Directed by Louis Van Der Straaten and features major Bollywood actors Roger Senevirathe, Sriyantha Mendis and many more.

Unfortunately the police has asked Kiran to stop so he has turned to crowdfunding on Phundee to raise the last £2,000 to make this wonderful story have its Bollywood ending.
