Emily Vallente is the latest person to embark on her path to become a star. This is not the usual story as Emily, like so many teenagers and young adults,has suffered from crippling low confidence. However, Emily decided to release herself from her troubled feelings through her musical creativity.

In her bid to rid herself of her low self-esteem she forced herself to perform. Emily took the unusual route into performanceby working as a singer for the elderly.

Every day Emily performs across the country at care homes after having graduated last year. For four years she has honed her skills and creativity training at The Institute.

“I also struggle with self-confidence, I think most people do especially in an industry where you are putting yourself out there to be judged, but singing in care homes everyday has really helped me to overcome this and has given me the confidence to finally create this EP” -Emily Vallente

Into the Woods is a musical and visual project and will be Emily’s first professional release. The project will be exploring the concept of the unknown, using the journey ‘Into The Woods’ to illustrate it. For Emily, the woods have been her sanctuary- a place that she has always been able to go to find some peace, so it seems fitting that she has chosen the woods as the setting for her songs. This has been enhanced by using sounds from nature through the songs, lending them a more immersive air.

Emily comes from a small town in Lancashire but moved to London to pursue her dreams. Her musical influences include Whitney Houston, Kylie, Halestorm, Lady Antebellum, Ella Fitzgerald and Gwyneth Herbert- powerful female singers.

 

In order to bring this project to completion, Emily is crowdfunding on Phundee.com to raise money for production costs. The project encompasses: a three track EP, photo shoot in the woods, a dramatic music video and distinctive hard copies of the EP with lyrical inserts.

 

Emily Vallente has already pulled together her “dream team”, which includes Multi Platinum Selling, Singer-Songwriter and Producer Darren Martyn, and world renowned Photographer Sai, “we just
