Media Invite

Date: July 14^th2015 7:00-9:30pm

Venue: Beaufort House, (Members Lounge), 354 Kings Road, Chelsea London, SW3 5UZ

The Third Annual Summer Media Party will be a chance to celebrate success and share ideas! It is also the official launch party for The Author School (funded by Virgin Startup). Meet some of our colleagues and friends, take home some fab books, make new contacts, catch up with familiar faces, and enjoy yourself at this informal, relaxed party that celebrates all things books, food and drinks! Join us from 7pm for a Pimm's Reception sponsored by J Merrill Forrest (Flight of the Kingfisher), The Bestseller Academy, Carmella B'Hahn (Heart of Relating) and John Uttley (Where's Sailor Jack?). Speeches will start at 7:30pm. The bar will be open until 11pm for you to buy your own drinks and food should you wish to stay and enjoy the party late into the night!! 

Each guest will be given a free glass of Pimm's (or two!) on arrival and a goody bag. You are then welcome to put your feet up and relax while catching up with old friends and colleagues, or wander around the room chatting to our wonderful sponsor partners who will be happy to fill your bag with goodies and discuss their latest venture/book!

Literally PR works with food&drink brands, chefs, food writers, authors, publishers and small press around the world. The party will reflect our diversity and commitment to these areas and introduce you to some fabulous contacts. Press kits will be available and you can pre-arrange interviews with the sponsors before the party if this helps. Each sponsor will have a story to tell and hopefully there will be plenty of opportunities for you to get editorial inspiration from the event, while also enjoying yourself!
