New Concept Spa Launches in Kensington
Kensington's first ever, public sector spa is now up and running within the new Kensington Leisure Centre on Silchester Road.
A joint venture between not-for-profit social enterprise GLL and Kensington and Chelsea Council, spa LONDON at Kensington has been designed to offer an easily accessible, luxury spa experience at the heart of a popular community facility.
The new spa will provide visitors with a combination of traditional treatments and the latest modern therapies from leading brands such as Murad, Elemis and Jessica along with spa London's own bespoke products, all in a relaxing and welcoming environment. Also on offer is a fantastic range of thermal facilities including a Hamman suite, steam rooms, sauna, plunge pool and relaxation lounge.
Spa LONDON's signature treatments include the unique ‘Midas Touch' experience. The 90 minute deluxe treatment includes an all-over body scrub and foot ritual using the spa's Gold range of products which are made using fragments of real gold. Clients are then treated to a deep tissue massage using Thai herb compresses and lymphatic drainage movements to massage the entire body, gently release heat and generate a harmonious flow of energy. Rejuvenated skin then receives an application of Gold dry body oil so it's party or beach ready. All for just £70.
For those on a tighter budget a three-hour visit to the thermal facilities costs from just £12 per person and offers the ideal way to indulge in a little pampering without ‘breaking the bank'.
The launch in Kensington follows the successful introduction of the UK's first public sector spa concept to Bethnal Green in London's East End over seven years ago. The original spa LONDON, which is housed within the historic York Hall building in Tower Hamlets has won a series of accolades including a top twenty ranking in Time Out's Best Spa Guide and Professional Beauty magazine's top day spa award.
Katarzyna Ostrowska Manager at spa LONDON at Kensington comments: "spa LONDON at Kensington offers visitors the ultimate day spa experience, with a range of treatments spanning everything from massages and wraps to manicures and facials. The environment is both luxurious and relaxing - providing the perfect escape from the stresses and strains of day-to-day living."
Treatment prices start at just £10, while a three-hour visit to the thermal suite costs just £12 for concessions and £15 for non-members.
