Norbord Cabershield raises the bar for weatherproof flooring

More and more contractors are choosing Cabershield, Norbord's extra-tough particleboard flooring panel, for their developments.

Cabershield is a moisture-resistant P5 tongue-and-groove board with a permanent protective non-slip coating that protects the newly-laid floor from damage while other trades continue.

A Cabershield floor provides workers with a safe and secure working platform and, like Norbord's Caberdek, it can be left exposed to the elements for up to 42 days without risk of deterioration.

Caberdek's protective non-slip film is designed to keep the board clean and dry until work has finished. It can then simply be peeled off to reveal a pristine surface underneath.

Unlike Caberdek, however, Cabershield's protective coating is not peelable; it is permanently bonded to the board so it is super-tough and will withstand the heaviest wear and tear during construction.

Cabershield is made from the same high quality 22mm P5 particleboard as Caberdek and shares the same performance qualities, including 44dBA sound properties to help meet Part E of the Building Regulations.

Like Caberdek, Cabershield is also very quick to install using Norbord's Caberfix's new D4 adhesive This adhesive is 100% waterproof which means that, when used with Cabershield boards, there is no need to tape the joints after installation.
