Local Company Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
Help in Hearing to Hold ‘Thank You Bar-B-Q' for Clients

2015 marks the 10 year anniversary for local company Help in Hearing. During that time thousands of clients have been helped with hearing aid solutions at the company's Farnham Common and Marlow surgeries. Help in Hearing have won numerous awards including the elite ‘Consultant Approved Status' and have been selected as premier partners for world leading hearing aid manufacturers including Phonak, Oticon, Siemens, Widex, Starkey and ReSound.
To celebrate this milestone in the company's success, Help in Hearing are inviting 100 of its clients to a Bar-B-Q at their Farnham Common Clinic. ‘Gold Ticket' invites are being selected at random and lucky clients will attend along with celebrities including: 60's Icon Jess Conrad OBE, TV's Crime Expert Jacqui Hames and rock guitarist Rick Fenn of 10cc - with surprise celebrities also attending throughout the day. The ticket-only celebration event takes place on Saturday 18th July.
MD Selma Becker says of the 10 year milestone, "I never thought, when we started Help in Hearing, we would be celebrating so many success stories in such a short space of time. Saying thank you to our clients is so important to me as they are the reason that I started the company."
Selma saw the effect of hearing loss on friends and family and was disappointed at the solutions available and the approach taken to help people with hearing problems. At that time Selma was already a cardio-thoracic nurse, and retrained to become a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser (RHAD) in 1990 working in London's medical district at the most prestigious hearing clinics, including Harley Street. For the next 15 years Selma gained extensive experience and understanding of hearing problems and the solutions available. Subsequently Selma became a Fellow of the Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, FSHAA and in 2005 started Help in Hearing.
Selma continues, "My goal for the company was to offer confidential advice and a wide range of solutions to ensure we could offer unbiased advice and the correct solutions and let people know that hearing problems could be addressed and not ignored."
Selma was joined, a year after starting, by Kevin Jeffery also RHAD FSHAA and between them they developed an innovative approach to provide hearing aid solutions that removed the stigma of hearing loss and positioned hearing aids as something to be accepted and to be seen as standard as wearing glasses. With the technical developments in hearing aids over the past decade Help in Hearing has been at the forefront of this technological wave making sure that the latest solutions are always available to their loyal clients.
Selma and Kevin will welcome guests on the day and Jess Conrad OBE, Jacqui Hames and Rick Fenn will be joined by some ‘surprise celebrity guests' to make the 10 year anniversary celebration a day to remember!
