Yorkshire ‘Food Star' shortlisted for two national awards

 

Directors and staff at an Acaster Malbis dairy ice cream manufacturer that has been recognised as one of the Government's '50 Food Stars' are celebrating after reaching the finals of two prestigious national competitions.

 

Yorvale has reached the final of the Best Small Family Business category in the Red Ribbon awards and the final of the Growth Business Northern England category of the The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Awards.

 

The Red Ribbon awards are the UK's only national awards that recognise the achievements of family-run companies irrespective of size or sector, whilst theThe Food and Drink Federation Awards honour the talent and inspiration in the UK food and drink sector.

 

Commercial Director and co-owner, Lesley Buxton is delighted with the shortlist news: "It's the second time that we have been shortlisted for the Red Ribbon Awards, but the first time for the FDF awards and the achievement is all the more rewarding given that we're such a small team."

 

The winners of the Red Ribbon award will be announced at anAwards Ceremony & Charity Ball on Friday 10 July 2015 at the Underglobe at Shakespeare's Globe in London. FDF finalists will find out if they have triumphed on Monday 7 September at a gala industry event at The Brewery, London, hosted by broadcaster and presenter Hardeep Singh Kohli.
