Already established as the UK's leading supplier of packaged plate heat exchangers, Stokvis Energy Systems is re-launching its comprehensive range of Econoplates to highlight the inclusion of variable speed pumps as standard as well as their other technical performance benefits.

The WRAS approved range of plate heat exchangers extends to over 250 different models suitable for the widest possible range of applications; including the supply of domestic hot water services (DHWS) and low temperature hot water (LTHW) heating, process water and steam to water, across residential, commercial, leisure centres and industrial sites.

Often installed to upgrade DHW delivery in high demand situations such as hotels and hospitals, Stokvis Econoplates are made up of gasketed stainless steel plates on an epoxy coated chassis, which exploit their low water volume and excellent heat transfer characteristics to rapidly generate flow. They are also suitable for use in conjunction with solar thermal sources and combat the risk of Legionella contamination.

The compact units can have further plates added if required, are supplied complete with a single or twin head variable speed pump, making them even more energy efficient than previously; and have a two or three port valve fitted to the primary circuit. Purpose designed controls, sensors, timers, fault detectors and safety devices are also included.

Specifiers can choose from the C3i and E3I models suitable for an LTHW primary system running at 700C or 80-1100C respectively. While these and the i2 models are all for water-to-water applications, the E2(SW) Econoplates have been developed for steam-to-water generation at supply temperatures of up to 1400C.

A 12 page A4 brochure is available to illustrate the Econplates range in its entirety: complete with selector charts showing tabulated information on each model type and their applications, followed by a set of specimen installation schematics. There are also brief details on optional extras and accessories such as secondary pumps, box covers, spray screens, buffer vessels and expansion tanks.

In addition to its comprehensive technical literature, Stokvis Energy Systems also offers a specification advisory service to assist clients in achieving the optimum package to meet their needs in both new build and refurbishment situations.
