Brides bid goodbye to wedding dresses as they head off to help bereaved parents

Over 24 wedding dresses have now been pledged for a project which will see them carefully dismantled and made into tiny gowns for stillborn babies. Spearheaded by The Baby Loss Foundation, Merseyside, and Cheshire-based Photographer Hazel Hughes, the brides will be given a makeover by volunteer hairdressers and makeup artists from the region on 15 July at the Daresbury Park Hotel, Cheshire before heading off to Walton Hall Park and Gardens, Warrington for a paparazzi-style send off.

The team at the Baby Loss Foundation will be passing the wedding dresses to the Manchester office of Cherished Gowns for Angel babies at the end of the night. They will then be sent to seamstresses nationwide where they will be made into the tiny outfits and distributed to hospitals.
