Palace’s Search for Passionate Caterer Stirs up Foodie Community on Social

As the crowning place of Kings of Scots, Scone Palace has served up its fair share of banquets over the centuries. Today their latest recruitment drive is to the catering community, offering the opportunity for a foodie with flair, who is passionate about creating delicious food from fresh, local ingredients.

Scone Palace kicked off its search for a new Head of Catering last week, and this exciting opportunity has already generated a tasty buzz on social media. With leading Michelin star chefs, Andrew Fairlie and Tom Kitchin, the prestigious Roux Scholarship and Nick Nairn already retweeting the position to their foodie followers.

The successful candidate will be ultimately responsible for running the visitor attraction’s extensive catering operation which satisfies the taste buds of over 100,000 annual visitors. They will be key in developing the Palace’s range of preserves which compliment the five-star tourist destination’s already world-famous Scones at Scone. They will also work closely with the Head Gardener to produce dishes showcasing fresh ingredients grown in the Palace’s very own Kitchen Garden.

Sarah Butler, Chief Executive of Scone Palace, commented:

“At Scone Palace we pride ourselves on offering our visitors delicious, home-made food throughout the year and we are looking for an individual who can meet those high standards and bring bags of enthusiasm and creativity to this unique and exciting role.”

Sarah added:

“This is a great opportunity for someone to be part of our award winning visitor attraction and to run our successful café/restaurant bringing their foodie knowledge and creativity to the table”
