Budding Local Authors Offered Expert Advice
A bestselling children's writer is launching a creative writing course for would-be authors in Chipping Norton this autumn.
Tamsyn Murray has penned over ten children's books including the hugely successful Stunt Bunny series, the Afterlife series and most recently Completely Cassidy: Star Reporter. For the past two years she has also taught the Writing for Children programme at City University, London.
London-based Tamsyn will be running the ten-week course at the Jaffe & Neale Bookshop in Chipping Norton every Wednesday evening from 16th September to 25th November 2015. She will cover everything that aspiring authors need to know about writing for children; from nurturing an idea into a fully-fledged story, to how to approach an agent or editor. Participants will receive practical feedback on their own writing along with advice from other industry experts.
Tamsyn Murray said: "I'm delighted to be bringing my Writing for Children course to the Cotswolds this autumn. Since publishing my first children's book in 2010 I've learned so much about the publishing industry, while also honing my writing technique. I can't wait to share my knowledge and experience with budding local authors and hope to set some on the road to a whole new, very rewarding career."
