Technical Manager tackles 10k race for charity

 

The Technical Manager at an East Yorkshire poultry business is celebrating after raising valuable funds for charity.

 

Soanes Poultry's Andy Dolman was part of Team Jark that finished 4thout of 52 teams and raised over £800 at the Jane Tomlinson 10k race in Hull. Mr. Dolman said: "I was proud to run with our labour supplier's team and delighted that we were just 16 seconds away from a top three place."

 

Mr. Dolman was appointed as Technical Manager at the Middleton-on-the-Wolds business in 2013 and was responsible for the business securing a Grade A in the BRC (British Retail Consortium) Food Safety standard earlier this year.

 

Soanes Poultry is a family owned business which has been rearing and preparing poultry for over 65 years. It rears over five million birds per year on its Yorkshire Wolds farms and sells its chicken to butchers and independent retailers in Yorkshire and to wholesalers nationwide. It also supplies a range of game in season to wholesale and retail customers.
