Over 30 outlets across Scotland sign
up to charity ale in its first month
Inveralmond
Brewery’s charitable brew is continuing to fly high after just one month on
sale, with over 30 outlets across Scotland signing up to serve the benevolent beer,
created to raise funds for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).
The
Perth-based beer-makers, one of Scotland’s leading independent craft breweries,
teamed up with Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) in July this year to
create the special brew to help fundraise for Scotland’s only air ambulance
charity which relies solely on public donations.
Since
launching the brew, there has been an out-pouring of support from pubs across Scotland
with 5p from each pint pulled donated to the Perth based charity. From
Inverness to Edinburgh, Glenshee to Kilmarnock, a whole host of beer lovers
have been getting the chance to enjoy a charitable pint and raise a glass to a
very worthy cause.
Fergus
Clark, Managing Director at Inveralmond Brewery commented:
“The SCAA
Charity Beer has been very well received by our trade customers and we’re
thrilled that the charity brew is now being enjoyed in over 30 outlets across
Scotland. We’re delighted to be helping make a significant difference to this
amazing charity which provides an incredible emergency service.”
Not only is
the partnership with Inveralmond Brewery helping to keep the life-saving
service in the air, it is also spreading awareness of the great work SCAA do
all across Scotland. Since it was founded in 2012, they have responded to over
600 emergency callouts across the country, working closely with Scottish Air
Ambulance Service to save lives.
SCAA Head of
Fundraising Sally Cameron commented:
“We are
delighted that through this partnership with Inveralmond Brewery people across
Scotland have been able to enjoy a beer and, at the same time, know that they
are helping keep our much-needed service in action.
“We hope
this support continues and that we can encourage even more places to start
selling the beer for their customers to enjoy.”
