Forcam will initiate their twelfth international productivity conference on September 29 in Stuttgart. Combining keynote speakers, panel discussions and case studies the conference promises to be a lively forum that will review the latest development in Smart Factory, Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Forcam is a pioneer in this field having developed Forcam Force, the shop floor management software suite that provides real-time intelligence on factory floor operations and has already given many manufactures a boost of 20 percent in productivity with further on-going gains.
There has been substantial interest and ABB, Audi, Bosch, Liebherr and Volkswagen are just a few of the leading international manufacturers who have already committed to attend. Advanced filtration systems engineers, Mann & Hummel, a Forcam Force user, are the event hosts.
Professor Dr Jay Lee of the University of Cincinnati and Professor Dr Ing Volker Bräutigam of the University of Würzburg–Schweinfurt are just two of the leading academics contributing to the discussion. Among the manufacturing specialists taking a leading role are Bühler AG, National Oil Well Varco and others. A key aim will be to explore best practice in industry and examine the next options for productivity enhancement.
As principal sponsor for the event Forcam will be showcasing the latest developments in Forcam Force. This has beneficial application in workshops of any scale, but comes into its own when applied to the integration of multiple plants and the supply chain that cover continents, diverse languages and time zones.
More transparency and closer integration is made possible by having real time data on plant performance. This contributes to leaner and more efficient production at all levels. There are even greater benefits when Forcam Force is integrated into SAP or other ERP systems.
Places are limited but can be reserved through Forcam UK, based in Middlewich, Cheshire, telephone 01606 833 387.
