Boulting Group Teamwork shines through for Victrex
Boulting Group, the Warrington-based engineering solutions company, has successfully completed an 18 month, electrical instrumentation new build programme for Victrex Manufacturing LTD, the Blackpool-based polymer (PEEK) producer.
Working alongside K Home International who were appointed as Project Managing Contractor for Multi Discipline Design, procurement and Construction Management and CDM Principal Contractor.
The Boulting team, working on the Peek Powder Plant (PPP3), was led by major project manager Neil Lockett.
‘Collaboration is key to the success of any significant electrical and instrumentation engineering project of this nature,' commented Neil Lockett.
‘At its peak we had 85 members of staff on-site working on the project to increase capacity at their Victrex manufacturing site. This is a chemical plant build environment that is both challenging and congested to operate within.'
‘I am pleased to say we completed within challenging time-frames, mitigating the restraints during installation that confronted us. That requires significant levels of teamwork, both between our team, K Home International, discipline sub-contractors' and the Victrex team.
‘The quality of installation is first class and the work is a credit to Boulting Group,' commented Lee Anderson, Operations Director of K Home International.
This project follows Boulting Group winning the RoSPA Orderof Distinction, following 21 consecutive Golds,to be awarded at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2015 in the summer.
