A Trio of Thistles for Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels
Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels has garnered three coveted places at this year’s prestigious Regional Thistle Awards run by VisitScotland with Action Glen, Murraypark Hotel and Crieff Hydro all featuring on the shortlist.
Leading the charge with a nomination for Most Hospitable Hotel, Crieff Hydro will see its unique blend of tradition, heritage and hospitality put to the test as it battles to claim the title against Fonab Castle and Parklands Hotel in Perth.
Set in the grounds of Crieff Hydro, Action Glen, Scotland’s premier adventure centre is also shortlisted for Best Outdoor Adventure Experience. With over 30 activities to choose from including Segway trekking, Aloft! tree top adventure, quad biking and much more, there is something for everyone and its success has seen Action Glen expand into one of Scotland’s biggest outdoor leisure operators welcoming over 40,000 adventurers in the last 4 years.
Finally, vying for the title of Regional Young Ambassador is Calum Watson, assistant manager of the Murraypark Hotel in Crieff. Calum’s exceptional customer service skills and efforts at representing Crieff as a destination have put him and the Murraypark firmly on the map.
Stephen Leckie, CEO of Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels commented:
“We’re delighted to be shortlisted for these prestigious Thistle Awards across three diverse categories. This is testimony to everyone’s dedication, across the business, to provide an exemplary experience for our visitors and to showcase the best of what Scotland has to offer. My congratulations also go to Calum for his recognition as a Young Ambassador for this area and for Scotland, a tremendous achievement.”
